I didn't want to fight see the ashes since the clashes and the wallpaper is gone Roll the boulder to the clearing and wait for the dawn Open every cairn, but the contents keep spilling No bottom at last Cover every tomb, at Lake Pamelia you were singing a familiar tune You were so calm In every body, there's a riot in a no protest zone Raise the alarm, There's an innocent man shot dead in the street with no arms You were alone I asked can I come over? you said, why don't you stay home We were so strong but now we're pathetic, but getting along You were so calm In every body, there's a riot in a no protest zone Raise the alarm, There's an innocent man shot dead in the street with no arms

This isn't a toast, isn't a show But I've got love for everyone who's here You've shown the sun to the son but I have burned the retinas of Fear You've given the least, just try at least! But I've been shifting phases all along Just do your best, it isn't a test and it is just the tyranny of years I've got love for everyone, but I've got eyes for you I've got love for everyone, but I've got eyes for you I've got love for everyone, but I've got eyes for you Have we given enough? Have we felt the touch? Have we looked in the eyes of our orphaned son? So goes the lie, why even try? Because the light is the years behind your eyes Old thoughts, old talk Now is another of our goddamn love songs

There's too much pressure to care If I take my eyes of the road, we'll die There's too much pressure to care If every road was a slope We'd give up halfway and roll down without hope If every road was a slope If every thought was a scene it would be obscene to hog up the stage If every thought was a scene There's so much to think it's as if the eyes in the back of my head down have time to blink If every drink was a drunk The road would be littered with those in the ditch If every drink was a drunk If every heart was a home We'd be scared as hell, cuz we're alone! If every heart was a home

Over the winter, blue ice in my beard Overly confident, my hands are frozen Into the valley, can't grip the pavement buried in the shoulder, cold crown on my head I can't remember, world outside the fog the golden sun on the hills Has there been splendor, have we ever known the frozen slopes of the pills Cover my coffin, put coins in my eyes overly confident, reflecting calm of the dead into the valley, wind stands in its tracks the powder flows upwards, cold crown on my head. I can't remember, world outside the fog the golden sun on the hills Has there been splendor, have we ever known the frozen slopes of the pills

about

After three years, a couple line-up changes and dozens of good, not so good, and unfinished songs, we've finally been able to put together a legit release.
While we have many songs sitting around waiting to be recorded, we felt that these four most exemplified our sound and aesthetic.
Our new songs are maybe taking us in a little bit of different direction, but this EP was who we were during the Summer of 2016.
Shoutout to Chris Allen for recording and mixing this album, Zach Lewis for being a part of the band while a few of these songs were written and being a great guy in general, Josh and Liz Backer for giving us a cut of their gambling winnings, The Space and The 50 for hosting us a kajillion times and everyone who has supported us the last couple years.
